FAQ

Common questions about managing your portfolio

How does LeasePilot automate rent collection?

LeasePilot connects to your bank account via secure integrations. Once a lease is active, we automatically generate monthly charges and provide a tenant portal where residents can pay via ACH, credit card, or recurring auto-pay.

Can I manage multiple properties and portfolios?

Yes, LeasePilot is designed for scale. You can organize your assets into multiple portfolios, each with its own specific team members, reporting, and bank accounts.

How are maintenance requests handled?

Residents can submit maintenance requests directly through the tenant portal, including photos and descriptions. You can then assign these to your internal team or external vendors, track progress, and communicate status updates in real-time.

Does LeasePilot support digital lease signing?

Absolutely. You can upload your own lease templates, customize them for specific units, and send them to prospective tenants for secure e-signatures within the platform.

Is resident data secure?

Security is our top priority. We use bank-grade encryption for all data storage, and sensitive financial information is handled by our PCI-compliant payment partners. We never store raw credit card or bank details on our servers.

Can I export my data for tax purposes?

LeasePilot keeps the records your accountant needs in one place: a rent roll, full payment and arrears history, maintenance logs, and categorised expenses that resolve to an income statement with NOI, per property or across the portfolio. You can review any period on screen, including trailing 3- and 12-month views, and export the income statement as CSV or PDF and the expense ledger as CSV.
